Good navigation makes your dive more enjoyable, comfortable and increases the effectiveness of your dive plan.

This course is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for underwater navigation.

Before We Start

1. Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver or have equivalent ratings.

2. Be 12 years of age or older.

Course Overview

1. The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of underwater navigation.

2. Methods of estimating distance underwater.

3. Natural navigation techniques.

4. Using underwater patterns.

5. Dive site relocation techniques.

6. Compass navigation techniques.
