10 THINGS TO DO ON LANZAROTE
As part of the Canary Islands Lanzarote is one of the few European holiday destinations that has the benefit of year round sun, with average temperatures of around 22ºC. If you plan your diving holiday here, you and your party will also benefit from a host of different activities to suit almost every interest.

In the Timanfaya National Park (Fire Mountains) you’ll find a chain of about thirty volcanic peaks and craters.
It’s the closest you’ll ever get to visiting the moon. An excursion to the park offers an exciting day out for the whole family.

There are many fine beaches peppered around Lanzarote where you can soak up the tropical sunshine.
The most famous beaches in Lanzarote – the Papagayo beaches – are actually within Playa Blanca.

of other water sports you can do, such as parasailing, jet skiing, sailing and surfing.

5. Jameos del Agua
This collapsed lava tube in the north of Lanzarote is one of the main attractions created by the famous artist César Manrique.
Here you’ll discover an underground lagoon with tiny albino crabs, tropical gardens and the King of Spain’s private swimming pool.
6. Submarine Safari
Enjoy an adventure beneath the waves on board the yellow submarine. You’ll be able to see all the beautiful marine life from your own viewing window.
7. Markets
The biggest market in the Canaries is held every Sunday in Teguise. But also in Playa Blanca you can visit two markets every Wednesday and Saturday.

8. Wine tasting
You will also discover a big wine making industry in Lanzarote.
The vineyards invite visitors to see their manufacturing process and offer free samples!
9. Evening entertainment
For those looking for evening entertainment the list of restaurants from all cultures is endless and of course in typical Spanish tradition, the clubs are usually open very late often until 6 or 7 the following morning.
10. Fuerteventura
For those who wish to stretch their legs a little further, the island of Fuerteventura, which you can see from our patio in front of Dive College Lanzarote, is only half an hour away by Ferry and offers an altogether different set of landscapes and places of interest!
